Its been three long days at IIM B , with hardly any time to stop and stare. Thankfully ,I finally managed to get my hands on my laptop and hook it up to the network. Seems like I have been cut off from the rest of the world , and these three days have definitely been the longest three days of my life !
Orientation week , is a test of resilience , astuteness as well as attuning your brain to sleep deprivation. Apparently , thats what life at IIM B demands from you.
Contrary to some of my batch mates who were oh so perturbed by "childish" whims of the PGP2s , I felt that it was quite a good job done on their part. Perhaps the fact that in most cases , I prefer a more of less nocturnal existence allows me to still enjoy the "activities" and "tasks" despite my eyelids drooping down heavily.
Quotable quotes time :-
1. PGP2 to innocent PGP1 : At IIM B , there is time for only 2 of these 3 things - sleep, acads , fun/girls/freaking out. The choice is yours. May the force be with you!
2. PGP2 to hapless PGP1 ( who wanted his "intro" ) : Just give me the paper , I'll sign ( Get the hell out of here , I have better things to do ! )
3. PGP2 President to the PGP1 batch : Please try and understand , we are not your servants.
4. PGP2s after the PDP session : This was the worst PDP session in IIM B since 1971 !
5. PGP1 to fellow PGP1 : At IIM B , you can B what you want to B , as long as you are not B-eing someone you really don't want to B. To hell with B !
6. Hostel warden to PGP1s: Smoking is officially not allowed in the campus.
There is more to come folks ,its going to be one crazy ride.

Back after two years
Its time once again to bear with my unending ramblings. For this sudden spark in the dark , flash in the pan post , let me keep it short and simple. After two very interesting years at Microsoft Hyderabad ,its time to move on for the much coveted ( eh ? ) MBA at IIM Bangalore. Excited as I am , I thought that perhaps there would be a number of incidents worth remembering and sharing about the journey I am about to undertake. Watch out for more posts...meanwhile...enjoy the football frenzy ! Go Espana !
